Training , drills and exercises help municipal staff and volunteers respond effectively in an emergency situation by allowing them to practice their emergency response skills, and test emergency plans and procedures.

Opportunities include:

• preparedness orientation sessions for new municipal staff done on work sites as required
• an annual shcedule of Emregency  Operations Centre (EOC) staff and volunteer training, held in the North Shore Emergency Operations Centre
• an annual schedule of Emergency Social Services (ESS) volunteer training, held at NSEMO and locations throughout the Lower Mainland
• annual municipal drills and exercises
• annual ESS drill and exercise
